About
I am interested in clearing the air around Ernst Gombrich's Illusion theory of depiction. In my dissertation I try to give an interpretation of Gombrich's position in Art and Illusion that will (hopefully) defend some of the broad points Gombrich was arguing for, while also rectifying some of the misreadings and misinterpretations that have haunted Gombrich since Art and Illusion was published.
