About

Ellena Bennett received her M.S in Bioethics with a focus in Health Policy and Research Ethics from Mount Sinai School of Medicine/Union Graduate College, NY in 2008.  She is the Legislative Ambassador and Media Spokesperson for the American Cancer Society, and has been an active healthcare lobbyist, at both the state and national level since 2005.  In addition, Ellena served for three years on the University of Washington Medical Center Institutional Review Board, and two years on the Mount Sinai Hospital Institutional Review Board in Manhattan.

While in graduate school, Ellena was a pharmacoeconomics consultant and medical writer for Bioinformatics/Pharmacoeconomic consulting firm, Arnold Consultancy and Technology, LLC.

Currently, Ellena is a Doctoral Candidate in Philosophy at University at Albany - SUNY, where her area of focus is; Philosophy of Mind and bioethics, specifically neuroethics, neurophenomenology and cognitive neuroscience/neurobiology.

Her current research is in Gnosis and the Theory of Neural Resolution, Neurophysiology of the Brain; Altered States of Consciousness and Ethical Issues in Nootropic Drugs.
